Tippecanoe Adult Guardianship Services: Volunteer
"I shall pass this way but once.
Any good that I can do, any kindness that I can show to any human being, let me do it now.
Let me not defer nor neglect, for I shall not pass this way again."
—William Penn
Tippecanoe Adult Guardianship Services (TAGS) volunteers come from different walks of life, but have one common goal:
To be the voice for someone who cannot speak, be the heart and hands that guide someone else through dark and confusing pathways, and be the eyes, ears, and mind for those who cannot stand up for themselves.
You will show another person in need of help that someone cares for them, and in many situations you will save their lives!
When you make the decision to become a guardian, you will complete an intensive training process. Training covers volunteer roles, responsibilities, ethics and liability; communication and decision-making skills; probate and guardianship laws; insurance, residential, social services, home care and legal resources; case planning and management and other related areas. After completing the training, you will be sworn in as an officer of the Tippecanoe Circuit Court, and ready to serve as guardian for an unbefriended adult.

You Can Make A Difference!
Becoming a volunteer guardian can make a difference in your life while improving the quality of life of another person that has no one else. To learn more about TAGS, please contact Richard Richardson at:
