No one ever says I want my child to be born with a disability or I want to be in an accident which results in a disability. But sometimes the thing you want the least ends up helping you the most.
When life presents such challenges, we learn that independence, learning and joy are indeed possible. People with disabilities aren't helpless or hopeless. They strive to be independent, productive members of our community, just like you. They enjoy spending time with family and friends and have dreams, hopes and goals just like you. Sometimes they just need a little extra help to achieve them.
Since 1983, Wabash Center has provided services for children and adults with disabilities and special needs. Together, our innovative programs and your support have helped countless individuals master life and job skills, live independently, enjoy the rewards of achievement and participate fully in our community. But there are still a lot of hopes and dreams to chase and your help is needed!
